The transition is pretty simple all you have to do is pull the lever behind the headrest and the wheels dropdown. It provides adjustable handlebars so you easily adjust the height according to your need. It can hold infants up to 32 inches in height or 35 pounds. The weight of the Dona is about 15 and a half pounds so not the lightest but it is also a stroller so you never really have to worry about it.  I personally like to give the wheel a little foot sweep and it collapses down. Doona stroller is good but it does lack rigidity and suspension. It is also easy to push.
